Farm holidays
The holyday farm is set in a scenic area, where
you can enjoy a charming view: in front of you
the medieval centre of Pomarance, on your right
Rocca Sillana (a fortress) reachable in 15 minutes
by car, to south there’s Berignone Wood
with its Castello dei Vescovi (Bishops’
Castle) vertically on the Cecina river valley.
In the end, on the west side, there’s the
Etruscan city of Volterra and the gentle Tuscan
hills.

Curiosity: we decided to call our holiday farm
“IL VIALE” cause of to get there you
have to travel along a 800 metres white road surrounded
by hundred-years old trees and others botanical
plants and essences typical of Cecina Valley.
In this road you can go for a walk, footing, jogging
and mountain baking, admiring the nature and resident
animals like: pheasant, blackbird, hoopoe, badger
and, in the summer nights, you can also hear nightingale
or curlew singing.

The farm holidays started its activity in 2005,
it’s a studio flat fully renovated, actually
is one of the few having a 25 mq living room provided
with all the household articles and a wide fireplace.
It’s also got a double bedroom and a spacious
bathroom with bidet, for the total amount of 59
mq. Besides the flat, you can also enjoy a 30
mq roofing canopy and a covered room built in
Tuscan style where guests can relax enjoying the
surrounding panorama like Cecina river famous
for “Masso delle fanciulle” and “Masso
degli specchi” (wells), Berignone mill and
Silano Fortress, beautiful by day and mysterious
by night when is lighted up by powerful lights.
Pets are welcome.

Cecina Valley: you can visit the Geothermic Museum
in Larderello (5 Km from Pomarance), and Guarnacci
Museum, in the ancient city of Volterra (20 Km from
Viale), Berignone-Tatti wood and the nature reserve
of Monterufoli
